No Bank Holiday Pay Date Clashes in 2027
Good news for 2027. None of the 13 Sainsbury’s pay dates fall on an English bank holiday, so every payment lands on its standard Friday with no adjustments needed. Good Friday 2027 is 26 March and Easter Sunday is 28 March. The nearest pay dates either side are 5 March and 2 April, so both are clear. Christmas Day 2027 falls on a Saturday, with the bank holiday observed on Monday 27 December, and the last pay date of the year (10 December) is well ahead of it.
How Sainsbury’s Four-Weekly Pay Cycle Works in 2027
The four-weekly cycle continues directly from December 2026. The last 2026 pay date is 11 December. Add 28 days and you land on 8 January 2027, the first pay date of the new year. From there the cycle runs every 28 days without interruption until 10 December 2027.

Sainsbury’s typically announces pay rises for the year ahead in January or February.
