JLP Ping ID

JLP Ping ID is the login tool of Partnership for mobile apps like the Intranet, raising a request for Workday, and Google. Ping ID is used to increase the business more to cut down the passwords and offer better information security. It is specifically protecting the data including customer and supplier information.

While accessing the data from outside of the network, Ping ID is sending a notification to your mobile phone or tablet. Whether you’re intended to login outside of the network or not, you’re required to accomplish the setup process. You can ask to IT staff to add you to an alternative security group when you never desire to access work tools from personal devices.

How to setup JLP Ping ID?

  • From App store or Google Play Store, you can download the mobile app Ping ID.
  • After that, go to an application that requires Ping ID from your computer.
  • You can login with your Citrix or Netdom or Google account.
  • You can tap on the option ‘I already installed the Ping ID app’.
  • On your phone, you can open the app and scan the QR code that appears on the screen.
  • Enter your name on the phone.

Here, you need to make a note that the Ping ID app on your device doesn’t access the Partnership to any of your data or doesn’t encrypt it. It’s just a verification method which gets access to the system.

All partners are having an account but it’s worth to check out that you don’t know the login by a different name. So, you’re required to sign in at http://docs.johnlewis.co.uk/ to know whether it is working or not. If you’ve an account of Google, please be careful that don’t log with the personal account.

  • Don’t have a Partnership Google account

Based on the instructions on the JML Google Site, Team Managers and Shop Managers can get access to create the accounts in Waitrose & Partners. To raise a new request through ServiceNow, you can ask your manager in all locations subsuming the head offices of John Lewis & Partners. You must request for a new account at John Lewis & Partner’s support team of in-branch when you’re in branch which is not yet transitioned to the centralised IT support model.

  • Forgot password

The same password of Windows, Citrix, and other applications accounts can be used to log into the account of Partnership Google. If in case of forgotten password, the managers of John Lewis & Partners Shop Trade can reset the password. Via the JML Google Site, your manager will get access to the information.

  • Account inactivation

The Partnership Google account may have been disabled when you haven’t used the Google account for three months. For information security purposes and keep license costs down, the inactive accounts are disabled automatically. You can reactivate your account with the help of Partnership IT Service Centre. Through Branch Comms, Service Now can be used at Waitrose &Partners.

  • Don’t have the phone

You need to contact the Partnership IT Service Centre if in case of your phone or tablet no longer in use which was used to set up original JLP Ping ID. While connecting to the Partnership Network, you can make use of ServiceNow via Branch Comms in Waitrose & Partners.

  • Don’t want to install JLP Ping ID App on your phone

You might prefer to be sent a message or receive a call if you don’t want to install the app.

  • Initially, you’re required to go to an application that requires Ping ID on your computer and sign in with Google Account.
  • On the bottom of a web page, you can go to the link ‘I don’t have a smartphone’.
  • Choose the option of SMS or phone and alter the flag icon to United Kingdom and provide your mobile number.

You can ask the Partnership IT Service Centre to an exception group when you really don’t want to install the app. If you’re using a Partnership device at work, you will be able to access them without Ping ID and from outside of a network, you will not be allowed to access any work applications. To raise the Ping ID Exception Group Request, you can ask for line manager and make a request to add to the group of Ping ID Exception.

A work email address has included for all partners with a Partnership Google account. That means, you are not necessarily to send or receive emails. However, a work email address can be a named email address or an employee number email address. To know which email address is assigned, you can contact to the manager.
